Speed Demons 2 changes

Speed Demons 2 has a Steam release date: November 21st, 2025! The final stats on the game will be as follows: 383 races, 67 vehicles (or 69 if you include trailer-towing-versions of 2 vehicles as separate), 10 modes, and 40 highways. There are 11 main chapters plus a prologue, with chapters featuring 6-7 vehicles each. Every chapter also has a special set of races that aren't vehicle-focused.
Before I ramble on about other stuff, here's the release date trailer:
The number of races is actually fewer than I originally expected, but I think the quality of better as a result. I spent a lot of time testing and trying various modes and settings for each race, and limited each vehicle-specific list to 6 (out of 10) modes. The game should still take at least 20 hours to complete all the races, and longer if you go for 3 stars on everything.
I wanted to apologize for taking a bit long to wrap the game up, as I intended to release it in September. Finishing SD2 has taken a bit longer than expected for a variety of reasons, but the main one: I got a bit burnt out and a little depressed after Rhythm Storm's release and updates. That game didn't sell as well on Steam as I expected (unless you compare it to Fireball 2), and Speed Demons 2 has similar wishlist numbers and is likely release to a similar fate. But it's essentially done now, and it doesn't really matter how it sells, so we're revving up for launch!
PS. The console release of Rhythm Storm and Speed Demons 2 will in early 2026.
A better excuse for the slow release: I had more work to do on Instruments of Destruction's console versions than expected. Bonus link: It came out last week on PS5 and Xbox!
