Swarm Expansion Pack – Feature Overview
The Swarm Expansion Pack significantly expands drone-based gameplay with new ship classes, deeper customization, and advanced tactical control. This update is focused on giving players more strategic freedom, stronger identity for swarm builds, and a clearer, more powerful management experience.
New Swarm Content
3 new Swarm types, each with distinct combat roles and behaviors
4 new Swarm drone ships, designed to support different tactical playstyles
New Ship Class
A brand-new Hybrid Swarm Drone Ships
Large in scale, yet retaining many fighter-class characteristics
Fully explorable interior
Planet-landing capable
Designed to bridge the gap between capital ships and fighters
Customization & Progression
New Swarm-specific components
New Swarm skills and progression paths
New stats that directly affect swarm behavior and efficiency
New ship perks tailored for swarm-focused builds
New visual skins for ships and swarm units
Swarm Management & Tactics
A completely redesigned Swarm Manager interface
Clearer control over swarm composition and priorities
A new Swarm Tactics System
Allows players to define behavior profiles such as defensive, aggressive, or free-form tactics
Enables deeper strategic decision-making during combat
Mothership & Carrier Changes
Motherships can now deploy Swarm drones
Legacy Combat Drones are now exclusive to Fighter-class ships
Swarm capacity rules:
Motherships:
Up to 100 Swarm drones
Can be increased up to 250 through pilot skills.
Swarm Carriers:
Can deploy up to 5,000 Swarm drones, enabling true large-scale engagements
Audio Improvements
Several AI-generated voice lines have been replaced or refined.
All dialogue for one of the main characters, Molyax, has been fully re-recorded by professional voice actors for improved immersion and consistency.
This expansion is designed to push battles beyond individual ships, introducing formation-based combat, mass coordination, and strategic drone warfare on a completely new scale.
Additional Notes & Current Limitations
At the moment, Swarm ships can use usable modules, but cannot perform pod-catching actions. We are exploring the addition of a dedicated Misc Swarm Drone class for this role. If this approach proves unsuitable, pod-catching capability may be enabled directly for Swarm ships in a future update.
