From the moment we announced Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator some of you asked “but will there be Kinect support?”, which had been in Organ Trading Sim. Sadly, the Kinect wasn’t something we could develop for this time but we did say we were working on something else that might scratch that same itch so…
It’s time to SHOUT THAT BABY!
Today, we're launching a beta for a voice command feature that will allow you to buy, sell, and short, fully navigate the Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator menus, hire consultants, visit the Nursery of Fame, and much, much more. This is not directly available in the game because we’d love to get your help to test it all out first!
To do this, you’re going to need to access a new build and you’d better believe the games producer, Mike, has written up exactly how you can do that…take it away, Mike!
HI! My name is Mike and I'm the lead producer on Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator.
First, thank you SO much for playing, giving us such great feedback, and inspiring us with your thoughts and suggestions for how to make the game even better!
From your library, highlight Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator and click the gear on the right side. From there, select Properties.
Select Game Versions & Betas.
Under Private Versions, enter "shoutatbabies" (without the quotes) into the box and press Check Code. You'll see "Opt into: Voice" appear below the box. Click that!
You'll need to Update to download the new version. Once you have that installed, visit the Settings menu.
On the Audio tab, you'll see new voice input options. Check the Voice Input box.
Select your desired microphone.
Then click Set Input Device. (You must do this to initialize the voice input.)
From there, you can navigate the menus by saying the words that are on the buttons (Select, Buy, Sell, Short, etc.) and use directional commands (Up, Down, Left, Right). In instances in which there are not words on the button (the Theatre button on the Campaign select screen, the Bookmark button on the trading day recap), just say the keyboard command that appears by the icon.
