Soul Trigger 3.0 — A Deeper Story, A Wider World

Hello, this is the Soul Trigger development team. Following the 2.0 update that reintroduced Soul Trigger as a roguelite RPG, this 3.0 update expands the game's depth and volume even further. A new story, new shops, and wider sectors are waiting for you.

⚠️ Important Notice

This update includes new systems and changes to the data structure. Existing save data is not compatible, and you will need to start a new game.

Story System Overhaul

The story has been reworked from the ground up. Follow the renewed tale of Soul Trigger from the very beginning. Memory Fragments have been added. Collect the lost memories of your agents scattered throughout your expeditions, and retrace the paths they once walked. The more fragments you gather, the clearer their stories become.

In-Game Shop Added

Mid-expedition, you may cross paths with a mysterious wandering merchant. Speak to them and you'll find healing items, traits, and special services on offer—but what's in stock changes each time, and your funds will never be enough to buy it all. What to pass up and what to take: that single choice can decide the course of your run.

Hub Shop: The Control Terminal

Use the resources gathered across the city to contribute to the Control Terminal and unlock its privileges. The more you contribute, the higher the tiers that open in turn, and everything you unlock stays with you permanently.

  • Unlock Allies, Facilities & SkillsRecruit new agents and open up the upgrade clinic and new skills.
  • Expedition Efficiency: Increase the resources earned from combat, exploration, and events, and improve exchange rates and shop prices to tilt each successive run in your favor.

The deeper you involve yourself in the city, the more prepared your next expedition becomes.

New & Restructured Sectors

Sectors have been expanded and new bosses added, lengthening the journey you can take in a single expedition. The further in you go, the greater the threats—and the greater the rewards waiting at the end. The further you press on, the deeper the depths that reveal themselves.

Balance Adjustments

The balance of each sector has been tuned section by section, building a thrilling combat rhythm that rises from start to finish. Balance will continue to be refined based on play data.

UI / UX Improvements

The overall interface has been reworked to be more user-friendly, for a smoother and more intuitive play experience.

This 3.0 update is a major step toward making Soul Trigger a richer game you'll want to play for a long time to come. Our thanks go out to everyone who continues to love Soul Trigger, and we'll keep repaying you with a game that only gets better. Your thoughts on the changed systems are always welcome—feel free to share them on the Community Hub. Thank you.
