SOUL PARK changes
Satanas is shaking up the rhythm of the game!
Every 3 minutes, night sets in and gives the player new possibilities: will you try to regain ground from corruption? Or will you go visit CHESTER, the new treasurer of the underworld? For the occasion, the park interface has been refined to better match the atmosphere of the game. There are many other changes, namely: new currencies, new dialogues, new animations, and a major economic rebalancing to boost your purchasing power in the game.
The next update will be a bit smaller and should complete what was imagined for this one but could not be implemented yet. Expect a second new character, a thematic reinforcement of the SOUL PARK universe, and a new mechanic to prevent tears of corruption from spawning during the day!
I imagined this update with my girlfriend Maryne, which unofficially makes it the first update released as an independent game studio rather than as a solo developer! Thank you to everyone that is a part of our small community, your trust and fervor will pay off!
FULL CHANGELOG
DAY/NIGHT CYCLE
The game now cycles through 3 minutes long days, alternating with night phases that you can end at any time.
the sky's colors now shift as the day goes on
you can see the progress of the day in the new UI
loading a save will now also load how far into the day/night cycle you were when you last saved
When night time comes, the new CAGES MINIGAME starts:
every customer still in your park heads towards the exit, while you try to sort them by eye color in their corresponding cage.
innocent customers' eyes are black, guilty ones can be yellow, blue, red, purple or green
you get more or less soul fragments as a reward depending on how well you sorted them.
after the minigame, you can perform up to two (2) actions, whether it is attacking corruption, and visiting CHESTER, SOUL PARK's new treasurer
you can also check your cages' content at will
CHESTER's scene consists of a dialog tree alowing you to bargain souls for COLORED ESSENCES, which are new currencies
Chester's lines change depending on how many times you traded with him and whether you show him a full cage or not
corruption hunting now takes place at night and has its own UI and layout
each tear/guardian of corruption hunted costs one night action
camera smoothly transitions between different the states at night
changed the date format to a simple day number
lighting in the park changes slowly through the day
the customers admitted during the corruption minigame now enter the park at the beggining of the next day
NEW CURRENCIES: COLORED ESSENCES
they can be acquired from chester in exchange for cages full of souls
added an essence price to some rides:
Star Flyer: 1 yellow essence
Morgluxian Castle: 1 green essence
Lavamatic: 1 red essence
Speedcap: 1 blue essence
Attack of the Kraken: 1 red essence
The Mountain Worm: 1 purple essence
COSMETIC IMPROVEMENTS
improved lighting and ADDED SHADOWS to the park
added essences to the title screen
reworked the park's UI
added all the essences to the park's UI, the shop's UI, the legacy end score screen, and the skill tree's tooltips
added particles for camera detection
added a "dirty customers caught" stat for cameras
improved detection target's visual
added custom balloons for the spooky balloon shop
added particles when deleting legacy's progress on the main menu
added the night sky to the corruption and the cage minigames
tweaked visuals in the dancefloor minigame
all ride minigames now have the same format for announcer text

Spiritial Fountain now gives +5 fun to nearby rides instead of +25 capacity to nearby toilets and trash cans
when a customers looses at a booth, you now win 200% of the initial price instead of 100%
guardian levels are 50% lower in the legacy game mode
reduced the amount of customers in the choices minigame from 10 to 6
tweaked the collector achievement: unlock 20 products in the progress tree
GENERAL GAMEPLAY
fast mode is now automatically disabled when editing the park and during cutscenes/tutorials
added new lines for satanas informing you he can teach you something new
satanas now tells you before coming to the park
added a tutorial for the night cycle and the cages minigame
you can now click anywhere on the screen to speed up text reveal
catching a dirty customer now displays the bounty next to the cursor
added a flame counter above the progress tree button in the park's UI
the bush and the small tree are now unlocked by default when starting a new game
tweaked main tutorial
added shadows settings (you'll have to load a save file to apply the changes)
added a setting to enable/disable the first person floating effect
product entrances and exits cannot be obstructed by other products, waiting lines or rails anymore

fixed finances tab
fixed angle slider label color
fixed product models being displayed in front of text in the info and shop tabs
fixed name and age not being displayed properly when marking a customer as good in the corruption minigame
fixed customers twitching after exiting a building
