🌍 Cross-Platform Multiplayer
As you know, the biggest feature in the next update will be cross-platform multiplayer. It will allow you and your friends to play and relax together, no matter which platform you are playing on. This has been one of the most requested features since the Kickstarter Beta, and we have been working on it since before release. It is taking a little more time than expected, as every platform - Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo - has its own unique requirements. We want to make sure that you can play and relax with your friends without any problems, regardless of the platform you are using. In the meantime, we want to give you some more context about the upcoming features.
🗳️ Feature Voting
We've seen you make great use of the Feature Upvote system, our website for submitting and voting on feature ideas. We are happy to announce that we will add features chosen by you, the community, in the patch following the current crossplay update. Your ideas and feedback are amazing, and we are thankful to have such an active and helpful community. The team will decide and announce which of the upvoted features will be added, and in what order, at a later date. However, we can already tease that the current top three look great, and we definitely have our eyes on several other features from the list. You can find the Feature Upvote page here: Visit the Solarpunk Feature Upvote page
🪴 New Decorations
Your islands and builds look amazing, and we want to give you even more options to decorate to your heart's content, both indoors and outdoors.
New decorative items, such as island map posters
New decorative plants that can be caught with the fishing rod
New decorative flowers to make outdoor areas even cozier
☀️ Roof-Mounted Solar Panels
We had already started working on this feature before the Feature Upvote page went live, but we are glad that 5,500 players imagined and upvoted the idea as well.
New solar panels that can be mounted directly onto sloped roofs
🔍 Find and Display Decorative Postcards
We are also gradually introducing more reasons to travel to different islands - for example, finding fun collectibles.
Hand-drawn, holiday-style postcards that can be collected
A special display board for showcasing your postcard collection
🌿 What Else Is Coming?
We are still working on many more additions that will be released in future updates. Check out our previous update for more information about the upcoming furniture with inventory and character improvements. Among other things, we are also working on:
More quality-of-life improvements
More fixes and stability improvements
Multiplayer bug fixes
Thank you to everyone who plays Solarpunk, shares feedback, leaves reviews, submits ideas, and accompanies us on this journey. We truly appreciate it. 🌻
