The Kickstarter campaign is essentially a way for us to gauge potential interest and provide our future players with a channel to give some extra support towards the final layers of polish for the game. We've just launched SokoGhost: Unfinished Business on Kickstarter! This is one of our key milestones that we've been working towards, and we're happy to share it with you.

You can find the Kickstarter campaign here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dreamjamgames/sokoghost-unfinished-business-a-block-pushing-puzzle-game

Some rewards exclusive to the campaign are:

  • Original soundtrack

  • Named in-game credits

  • Digital Design document booklet with behind-the-scenes material

  • And more!

Our campaign goal is just €500, as we believe that is a fair amount relative to our expectations of how the game will perform commercially when released. Also, as we're working on the project in our free time, we don't need money to pay for salaries or office space. Instead, the funds from the campaign are focused on improving areas that we would never be able to do ourselves, and will go towards giving the game a general quality boost before release.

Therefore, we want to stress that the game will be released whether the campaign is successful or not. The Kickstarter campaign is essentially a way for us to gauge potential interest and provide our future players with a channel to give some extra support towards the final layers of polish for the game. If the campaign is a success, we'll be able to create our own soundtrack for the game, commission better capsule art for Steam, and provide professional localization for the Steam Page.

As such, the funds will primarily go towards publishing and finalization aspects of the game production process. In that way, you can see it more as a Kick-Finisher than a Kickstarter

Feel free to share the campaign with anyone you think might be interested in our little puzzle game! As the campaign goes on, we'll provide development updates so you can follow our progress.

Happy playing!
