This build has a lot of stuff and moves Slyders closer to a releasable and polished state, which is why I increased the build number from 0.1.x to 0.2.x. The focus is on general polish in all areas, some new features, and necessary additions like settings, localization, gamepad support, etc. A lot of work also went into new maps, enemies, and content for the release version, but here in the patch notes, I will only list things that are noticeable in the demo.
added Forge: items of the same type can be combined to increase their rarity
- reworked Upgrade screenit is now a skill tree that can also unlock new perks
localization for English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish
added Gamepad support (I could only test this with Xbox Wireless Pad, so please tell me if you have any issues with others)
most features like menus, skills, weapons need to be unlocked by completing achievements
new Perks: sandworm Sandy, frog fighter Freddy (not in demo), Power Sword (not in demo)
added chest demons: they sometimes spawn and drop gold and crystals. Catch them before the time runs out. Bosses no longer drop crystals.
UI/HUD graphics rework. Some new art (like the perk images) was AI generated to better match the cartoon style of the game. Feel free to post your feedback.
reworked settings menu with more options
added screen resolution, fullscreen toggle
updated music and polished sounds and mixing
