Since v0.5.4, I’ve focused on making runs feel clearer, smoother, and more reliable, while tightening up a few rough edges players reported.

Combat clarity and card feedback

  • Tower damage tooltips now reflect Upgrade Card bonuses correctly.

  • Upgrade card chips now show your current accrued bonus.

  • Long modifier descriptions in tower tooltips now wrap cleanly for readability.

  • The Surge meter arc no longer rotates with the tower, so it’s easier to read at a glance.

  • Also adjusted Upgrade Card weighting so Expanded Chassis appears more appropriately in selection.

Performance and settings improvements

  • Added Framerate Cap and VSync options to settings.

  • Tuned the default framerate cap to 120 FPS.

  • Moved procedural music synthesis to a background thread for better runtime smoothness.

  • Fixed a race condition in music buffer prefill that could cause instability.

Leaderboards and run identity fixes

  • Fixed run seed handling in Steam details so leaderboard build naming now matches the end screen.

  • Added auto-healing logic for leaderboard scores affected by prior sort-direction changes.

UI/input and Workshop polish

  • Fixed click-through issues so game input is blocked when the pause menu is actually visible.

  • Removed the unsupported “Friends Only” option from Workshop publish flow to avoid confusion.
