I'm glad to present you this major demo update! The changes are primarily aimed at player experience, smoothing out rough edges and making gameplay more engaging and varied.

Changes:

  • Smooth menu animations have been added.

  • Items can now be used during dialogue.

  • When dying or losing composure, you have an opportunity to restore your health or composure.

  • Seven new status effects have been added.

  • The "Agony" status now inflicts a random negative status on the player every few hours.

  • Prices in stores have been rebalanced. Cheap items have become slightly cheaper, and expensive items are now slightly more expensive.

  • More variety in drawing process while on high withdrawal.

  • Fewer lines are highlighted in red on high withdrawal (there will be fewer composure checks).

  • Sleeping on high withdrawal or while under the effects of stimulants will be more difficult.

  • All talents affecting character attitudes have been moved to the top of the talent tree and removed from the demo.

  • In their place, three new talents have been added, focused on pickpocketing.

  • The talent that increases the creativity stats when choosing emotional lines has been removed—the player always has this effect.

  • In its place, a talent has been added that increases the stats when failing composure checks.

  • Talents that simplify the drawing process have been replaced with more useful ones.

  • Some status effects have been added with new useful effects for drawing ("Peace" now removes the spiky dots, and "Concentration" removes the jerky movements caused by tics).

  • Drawing in the park will now take twice as long but will yield twice as much money (to reduce repetitiveness).

  • Difficulty levels are now separated for each save slot (please note that the update returns the difficulty level to the recommended value).

  • On the easy difficulty level, the drawing and pickpocketing mechanics have been significantly simplified.

  • Pickpocketing has become easier when using a gamepad.

  • One new music track has been added.

  • One new scene with the sister at home has been added.

  • Magnesium tablets can now be found in the stash on day one (they only appear when starting a new game).

  • The menu map has been slightly adjusted.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed an issue with the game freezing after finishing a dialogue.

  • The dialogue selection text has been darkened to make it easier to see which option is selected.

  • Many changes to gamepad controls have been made. Playing has become more comfortable.

  • Minor bug and text fixes.

In the meantime, development is progressing rapidly, and the release is scheduled for early to mid spring 2026. Stay tuned for more news!
