🩸 Sip Or Die - Devlog 4

Welcome back, survivors. In this Dev log we’re taking you deeper into the chamber and showing how the experience is evolving. New room events and mini‑games, perk systems, critical shots, and updated facial expressions, this update focuses on making every moment inside the chamber feel more reactive, tense, and alive. Here’s what we’ve been working on.

Take a deep look at the Chamber!

Inside the chamber, you can find up to four survivors seated in special chairs that display how much life they have left. When it’s your turn, the buttons in front of you let you choose which vial to take, spin the wheel, electrocute another survivor, drink your vial, or trigger Pigman’s version of Russian roulette.

The survivors sit around a table with a bleeding heart at its center. Nearby, there’s a numbered stand filled with vials, some containing water, others holding a mysterious substance that can be deadly.

Pigman prowls around the room, and The Overseer watches every step, every moment, every breath.

Underwater Death Mini-Game

The room fills with water, players must take part in the mini game which controls how long they hold their breath for. The person who makes the most mistakes in the mini game drowns.

The Overseer's Satisfaction Perk Shop

You gain satisfaction by pleasing The Overseer. When you have enough of The Overseer's satisfaction you can purchase perks with it by interacting with The Overseer. This perks you give and advantage over the other survivors.

  • Lower Your Heart BPM - He stills your racing heart for a calmer pulse and steadier aim

  • Make Everyone Fat - His gaze bloats every rival, one by one: fat bodies, racing hearts, shakier aim

  • Add 1 Life - The Overseer restores one of your hearts

  • Buy a Gas Mask - Survive the wheel's Death by Gas (consumed on use)

  • Overseer Shield - He will turn aside the next bullet meant for you

X-RAY Critical Shots

Aiming for critical points when shooting another player will grant you satisfaction, but it depends on your heart rate BPM. The higher your BPM the more gun sway you have meaning its more difficult to hit the perfect shot. When hitting a critical point there is a chance of dismembering that part of the body, this works as a multiplier for how much satisfaction you receive... The more you please The Overseer the more of his satisfaction you receive, meaning the better you will play throughout the match.

Room filled with Gas

After spinning The Wheel Of Fate, you will land a result, the result could be Room Filled With Gas. Will you survive?.. It depends on whether you purchased a Gas mask from The Overseer. If not, one of your lives will disappear.

Facial Expressions

We’ve significantly improved the characters’ facial animations, making them feel more alive and helping every moment in the chamber feel more immersive.

Resurrection - How does it work?

Death in the chamber is never quite the end, not while The Overseer still has a use for you. Poisoned vial, bullet from Pigman's revolver, gas, drowning, or the shark leaving only half of you behind: however you die, your remains belong to him.

When a survivor falls, The Overseer's healing gaze finds the body. Twin beams lock on, the remains snap rigid, and the survivor rises above their seat, back arched, head thrown back, eyes rolled white. The body hangs possessed in the air while he puts it back together piece by piece, bone by bone, wounds knitting shut, then glides gently back down into the chair. Every revival plays out on camera while the rest of the table watches.

Each death costs you a heart. As long as you have one left, you wake up in your seat and the game goes on. Run out, and The Overseer reassembles you anyway because he likes his table complete. Your body settles back into the chair, whole again... and simply slumps. Dead is dead, but nobody sits at his table in pieces.

What happens when you drink poison?

Every vial looks the same going down. Then the chamber goes quiet, and the camera holds on your face for the verdict

If it was water, you get to breathe again. If it wasn't, the poison boils you from the inside. Your skin floods red, a fever flush that deepens into dark crimson blotches spreading across your face, while blood starts to trickle from your nose and the corners of your eyes. No two deaths look the same. Every survivor pulls their own dying expression, eyes darting around the room searching for help that isn't coming.

Then the pressure builds. Your eyes go wide, then bulge out of their sockets. Your head swells... and bursts, leaving nothing above the collar but raw muscle and exposed bone as the body slumps in its chair for the whole table to see.

Then the Overseer decides. If you have a heart left, he grants his mercy. Your body rises into the air for the resurrection ceremony, is put back together, head and all, and settles back into your seat, the fever slowly draining from your skin. If you don't, the chair keeps its corpse.
