THE WASTELAND (Redux)

The wasteland arena has been rebuilt from scratch. What started out as an effort to fix geometry issues turned into an overhaul of the layout. The original intent of a free-flowing map remains intact.

A former plaza for residents onboard, now turned into a combat arena after a recent collapse.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

Collect them all! Or don't - whatever works for you.

OTHER CHANGES:

  • Aim sensitivity should now be consistent regardless of framerate

  • Add "End Run" button to the pause menu

  • Fix some enemies not aiming at the player when firing

  • Add more images to ad billboards

  • Monkey-bars should be easier to grab now

  • Implement haptic feedback for DualSense controllers (Experimental, USB only)

  • The player should no longer spawn inside floors and walls when falling off the map or using the "Wrong Warp" debuff

  • "Last enemy remaining" indicators are now visible through everything

  • Add "Animation Quality" setting to the options menu

  • More performance improvements (Shader compilation stutter is still an issue for now)

OTHER INFO:

First of all, thank you so much for giving SGRAW a go and helping shape it. It might not be up there with the big leagues in terms of indie shooters, but it's still gone farther than I ever thought it would. That said, I've been working on this game for over a year and a half now. While it's grown quite big and can grow further, it's also become a huge pain to maintain. I'll skip the semantics: the plan for now is to make one more update to improve performance where possible, then move on to new projects. Can't stay doing the same thing forever.
