Shell of a King changes
The 54th weekly update for 'Shell of a King' is here. As always, if you find any bugs, especially game-breaking ones please let me know via the official Discord! I can always revert to an earlier update if something breaks!
1.2m Change List:
Add light attack sounds to all enemies and bosses (some of the complex bosses still need a few more)
Add light footstep sounds that change dynamically based on terrain
Add a flashing effect to the player when hit with damage
Add a flashing effect to all enemies and bosses when they are hit with damage
Add game setting to show screen shake effect, defaulted to on
Add game setting to show enemy/player damage flashing, defaulted to on
Add a mashing indicator and stuck message when getting stuck in a spider web
Add screen shake effect when taking damage
Add a bunch of other sounds, I didn't keep track
Convert the egg room, throne room, and ending stairs to 3D
Object pool inventory slots to remove lag when equipping all charms
Draw new ladder sprite for the Infested Hollow and Sewer Conduit holes
Draw new sprites for all status effects
Draw a new sprite for the Fire Sprite enemy
Nerf the intro water snake mini boss attack pattern
Change the settings tooltip to a zoom-in/out tooltip
Lower the ascend range of the hanging spider from 11 -> 8
Decrease the spider hole spawn rate
Remove several egg sacs from the Infested Hollow and Infested Library
Adjust the placement of some tooltips for visibility
Disable being able to pause during transitions
The Rat Duo is now paralyze immune
Lower the volume of all music by 6 dB
Raise the default volume slider values from 0.4 -> 0.5
Status effects now appear next to boss health
Status effects now correctly display when there are multiple being applied
Adjust some stairs visuals
The player's small health bar setting is now defaulted to on
Pot snakes now correctly carve the navigation mesh
Fix charm order in the left side equip box
Fix being able to interact with the password door while paused
Fix being able to manipulate the camera during the intro cutscene
Fix enabling the gamepad while resting causing buggy behavior
Fix being able to see the Royal Courtyard on the map before reaching it
Various other small visual changes
