Shamania Patch Notes 2.0.0
We’re finally excited to present our new update!
This update is one of the biggest milestones in the development of Shamania. It adds three major new parts of the game: the final raid with the final boss, a new end-game system with dynamic world events, and the new Settler system for passive resource gathering.
Final Raid
– A new final raid has been added.
This raid introduces the final boss of the game.
Dev note: The boss is quite difficult and mechanically very different from all previous bosses. After defeating him, you will see an interesting cutscene, and the world will transition into end-game mode. Something interesting will open up for you.
End-game
– End-game content has been added.
This includes a new dynamic world event system, giving players new activities after progressing through the main game.
Along with this system, the following content has been added: – New currency – New merchants – New mounts – New gear
Dev note: After defeating the final boss, a fairly challenging repeatable event will unlock. If you manage to complete it, you will receive a unique currency that can be used to buy unique rewards. Sounds fair to me.
Settlers
– A new Settler system has been added.
Settlers are helpers who can gather resources for the player.
Dev note: This is probably the coolest new feature in the update because it is completely optional. You can play without it, but if farming resources starts to feel boring, you will be able to access helpers from the early stages of the game, manage them, and give them commands. A new camp with a merchant has appeared on the map, selling recipes for the key buildings needed to use this system. However, these recipes can also be obtained in other ways, for example, as a random reward from fishing. Settlers should help diversify the main gameplay loop and make the world feel more alive. Isn’t that great?
New Content
– House roofs have been added.
Players can now build roofs for their houses.
Dev note: Believe it or not, we added roofs. We are just as shocked as you are.
– New achievements have been added.
System Changes
– Enemy aggro radius has been reduced.
Bug Fixes
– Fixed an issue where the character could not use Build Mode while mounted.
– Fixed an issue where rare enemies would lose their shell effect after taking damage.
– Fixed an issue where the world map could appear blurry or not fully loaded. Its clarity has also been slightly improved.
– Fixed an issue where raids could cause Night enemies to spawn during daytime.
– Fixed an issue where bosses could stumble because of players’ pets.
– Fixed an issue where, after a player disconnected, their pet would not disappear with them and could remain on the map forever.
