Shamania Patch Notes 1.3.0
We’re excited to bring you a major new content patch. With this update, players will get even closer to completing the main storyline of Shamania - and experience several new systems and mechanics along the way!
New Content
– New Biome (IV): Ashenreach.
A fire-themed biome featuring a new set of Milestones and a new World Boss.
Note: Milestone costs are intentionally experimental this time. They are designed to be simpler, and we want to see whether this gives players a fresh, more dynamic experience.
– Max player level increased to 40.
– New Pet Collecting System.
Pets are small companions that follow you around. They can be obtained as rare drops from enemies.
– New Item Repair System.
You can now repair tools and equipment using gold. Two new structures have been added: a regular Anvil and a Golden Anvil.
The regular Anvil must be discovered in the world.
Note: Repairing tools is a core survival mechanic — it was only a matter of time before we implemented it.
– New Character Transformation System.
You can now fully change your character’s appearance, including gender, through a new structure. Its recipe can be learned via Milestones.
– New Item Type: Buildables.
You can now find special construction items that allow you to build certain structures without spending any resources.
– New Point of Interest: Totem of Gifts.
These Totems grant unique rewards and are scattered across the world of Shamania.
– New Static Quest System.
NPC shamans in domes can now give repeatable quests that can be completed infinitely.
Note: These quests are not marked on the map. We want exploration to feel richer and more intentional.
– New structure: Fish Grill.
You can now grill fish and receive special buffs from cooked meals. Finally!
System Improvements
– Daily Quest overhaul.
Daily quests no longer expire and can now be abandoned.
Note: Previously, the time window was too strict and created unnecessary pressure. Now you can complete them at your own pace.
– Item upgrade system rework.
Upgrading items now requires a new resource: the Upgrade Shard.
It can be obtained in multiple ways, but the main source is completing Daily Quests.
Note: This gives more importance to quests and strengthens them as part of the core game loop.
Balance Changes
– Popper damage reduced.
Players reported that Popper damage was too high. Popper can no longer one-shot a player under any circumstances if the player has maximum health.
– Enemy chase radius reduced.
Enemies will now pursue players less aggressively.
Note: This change is also based on community feedback.
The next update we’re working on will include the final boss required to complete the Temple ritual - along with many other exciting features.
We hope you enjoy the update!
