Shamania Patch Notes 1.4.0
Hello everyone who’s interested in our game! We’re finally excited to present our new update — 1.4.0.
This update marks a very important milestone in the development of the game. It introduces new game-changing mechanics and finally adds the last missing elemental boss — Storm.
While you’re exploring the new content, we’ll immediately begin working on the next update. It will be the most important update in the entire development history of the game, bringing the final boss and the opportunity to fully complete the game.
Thank you for staying with us during this journey! ːcluckswagː
New Content
– Flying Mounts have been added.
They significantly change how the world is explored and experienced. The way to unlock them is tied to the second biome, Cinderveil.
Along with this feature, the following content has been added: – A new merchant – A new safe zone – New quests – A new item type: Mount Token, which can be bartered for flying mounts (dragons)
– New Point of Interest: Storm Isle.
A floating island that is home to the final elemental boss — Storm Sovereign. Accessing this island requires a flying mount.
– New Character Customization System: Transfiguration.
This system introduces new cosmetic customization options: – Outfit Override — overrides your character’s appearance regardless of equipped gear – Weapon — toggles the visibility of your equipped weapon on your character’s back – Wings — changes the visual appearance of your wings while gliding – Eyes — changes the visual effect applied to your character’s eyes
These customization options are unlocked by completing Steam achievements.
– New Night Progression System.
The early nights are now more forgiving, spawning fewer Night enemies to give new players time to learn the game. After the 5th night or upon reaching level 10, Night enemies will spawn at their normal intensity.
Note: This system was implemented entirely based on player feedback. We are listening.
System Improvements
– Night enemy levels are now generated dynamically based on the level of the player they are hunting. Previously, their level was static.
– Ranged Elementals can now aim vertically as well as horizontally. Previously, they could only aim horizontally.
Quality of Life
– The path to the Water Element boss has been visually clarified. Green torches now guide players forward, making the route clearer. Some players previously believed the area was a dead end.
Bug Fixes
– Fixed an issue where raid boss music would continue playing after the fight ended.
– Fixed an issue where players would sometimes not receive an achievement they were eligible for. A second-layer fallback system has been added: if an achievement fails to unlock for any reason, the game will remember it and attempt to grant it again when re-entering the world.
– Fixed an issue where some valuable items were incorrectly priced at 1 silver.
– Fixed an issue where arrows could hit enemy corpses as if they were still alive. Containers with loot no longer block arrows.
– Fixed an issue where repeatable quests could stop being offered after being completed multiple times.
