SHALTER-03 changes
We've reached an important milestone for SHALTER 03, the asymmetric horror-puzzle game we've been developing with great care for a long time. The SHALTER 03 demo arrives on Steam for players on June 15!
With this demo, we invite you into a mysterious and eerie world set deep underground. In this experience, where communication, trust, and teamwork are the keys to survival, every decision you make will carry great weight.
Use Your Team, Not Your Senses
SHALTER 03 offers a fresh take on the co-op puzzle experience with its unique gameplay built on communication and cooperation.
In the demo, you'll be able to play as one of three different characters:
The character who cannot see: They cannot directly see their surroundings and need their teammates' guidance in order to move forward.
The character who cannot hear: They cannot perceive audio warnings and auditory cues, so they must track what's happening around them in other ways.
The character who cannot speak: They cannot verbally convey the vital information they notice and must collaborate with teammates using alternative communication methods.
Since every player has a different limitation, success is only possible by using your teammates' abilities correctly.
A single piece of misunderstood information, or one delayed decision, can change the fate of the entire team.
Demo Area: Underground Storage
The demo takes place in the underground storage of the SHALTER facility and offers one of the first glimpses of the atmosphere and puzzle structure you'll encounter in the full version.
As you make your way through the dark corridors, you'll contend not only with mechanical puzzles but also with environmental threats. During your journey, you may suddenly find yourself trapped in a room that is rapidly flooding with water.
As the water level rises, time runs out fast. Will you be able to communicate properly with your teammates and find the way out?
What Did We Improve Before the Demo?
To give players a smoother experience, we made a number of changes before the demo:
Improvements to map and environment details
Updates to puzzle flow and interactions
Optimization work on 3D models and overall performance
A cleaner and more readable user interface
Adjustments to the characters' vision and perception systems that support gameplay balance
A Stylized, Tension-Filled Atmosphere
SHALTER 03 presents its dark underground facilities through a distinct artistic vision, with its own stylized high-poly visual language.
The lighting, environmental details, and sound design are crafted to make the player feel that something is going wrong inside at every moment. Throughout the demo, you'll have the chance to experience this atmosphere firsthand.
Your Feedback Means a Lot to Us
The demo will be available for only one week, starting June 15.
During this period, sharing your thoughts on the mechanics, puzzles, performance, and overall experience is hugely important for our development process.
You can report any technical issues you encounter or share your suggestions through our Discord server or the Steam Discussions section. Our team will be following all feedback closely.
Don't Forget to Add It to Your Wishlist!
If you enjoy the SHALTER 03 experience and want to uncover the secrets behind the shelter in the full version, you can support us by adding the game to your Steam wishlist.
As an independent team, every wishlist addition makes an important contribution to helping our project reach more players.
See you on June 15.
Don't trust your senses. Trust your team.
