changedGameplay:Town Update The town has gotten a minor revamp. The Dojo and the Blacksmith building have switched places and the Zen Garden has been moved a bit more to the center. That has been done to make the town a little more compact and have players run around less.

Patch Notes

Gameplay:

  • Town Update The town has gotten a minor revamp. The Dojo and the Blacksmith building have switched places and the Zen Garden has been moved a bit more to the center. That has been done to make the town a little more compact and have players run around less.

  • Dungeon changes A new type of room layout has been added

Art

  • VFX updates From playtesting I got some comments that there is a bit too much visual clutter at certain points in time. So I made a couple of adjustements.

  1. The rain is more transparent so that it obstructs less of the screen

  2. The grass patches in the dungeon have been reduced in size and have been made more dense

  3. When it's snowing the grass also becomes snowy

  • Font update The font in the game has been updated to make the in game text a little easier to read. This was also a good opportunity to give the title screen font a graphical update.

Concept Art:

I didn't post it last update but I made an alternative concept art for the sorcerer with some magic effects and with his staff equipped.

Ronin:

  • Ryu-jin the Fire Dragon's animation speed has been increased - The ghost image that the ronin leaves behind after using certain moves now fades away correctly

Enemy Changes:

  • Enemies now always show their healthbar It's sometimes not very clear where all the enemies are located on screen. This is a first step to make it more visible but some better solutions might come in the future.

  • The Archer's run speed has been reduced to human levels of speed - The Archer now has a more attack range
