Patch Update — Bug Fixes & UI Refresh

Bug Fixes

Torch-pass shorts no longer drain your fortune When you pass the company torch on a public company, any shorts you held against it are now auto-covered at the current market price before the stock delists — no more eternal shorting fees on a stock you can't access. Saves with stuck shorts will heal on load.

Going private no longer locks the company Taking your company private now correctly flips it back to private status, so you can change CEO compensation again and re-IPO whenever you're ready.

Private companies no longer generate Massive monthly losses Fixed a unit math bug where buying out a tiny public company and taking it private would compound private-equity income into the negative trillions. Existing affected saves are repaired automatically on load.

Buyback now actually reduces the market float Fixed a 1,000× unit error in the company menu's buyback. When you own 100% of your stock, you're 100% — the trading screen no longer shows phantom shares for sale to your character. Saves where this exploit was triggered will be auto-healed on load.

Gordon Greed no longer crashes the game The Gordon Greed Elite Services popup was crashing after a handful of opens because of a use-after-free in the engine's deferred call queue. The whole Gordon flow has been rebuilt on a safer popup pattern. Open it as much as you like.

UI Refresh — Glass Morphism Everywhere

Some of the grey Window title bars are gone. Every popup in the game now uses the same glass-morphism style as the Gordon Greed Elite Services menu — translucent overlay so the game shows through, gold accent borders, drop shadows. This includes:

  • Year-end tax summary, tax liquidation, mortgage paydown

  • IPO launch, downgrade, succession picker

  • Settings menu, multi-save, continue/new-game

  • Character creation

  • All Gordon flow popups (limo invite, ciphergram, etc.)

  • All child events (school, university, car decision, celebrity meeting)

  • VC startup events, competition events, tenant emergencies

  • Dating, marriage proposals, anniversary, vacation, divorce

Foundation actions, board membership, bank confirmations

Again we are a small dev team and we really do appreciate this community helping us spot fixes for game improvement. We want to keep improving the game and will continue working to make this game better!
