We're leaving Early Access!

Repeated intro

Hey Guards,

What changed

0 fixes2 additions4 changes1 removal
  • Maps
  • Gameplay
  • Security
changedChanges:All maps have had a redesign, keeping the general layout but improving the attention to detail and optimizing things.
addedChanges:There's a new tutorial which goes over all the gameplay mechanics you'll need to know.
changedChanges:So many improvements to disturbances, reporting, and report responses.
removedChanges:Removed the different "modes" of Contracts, they all play the same now, with disturbances, thieves, and enemies you'll have to keep on top of!
addedChanges:Added contract difficulty, plans to allow selecting difficulty of contracts in the near future.
changedFuture Plans:I mentioned that I do not intend to entirely halt development on Security Simulator: Nightshift, and I'll use this section to explain what my plans are. While there are plans for more maps to finish the game's story, I want to build up modding and contract creation tools to let the community create their own maps, enemies, disturbances, items, and more. The next phase of development will focus on building up the support and tooling for these kinds of community additions through the workshop.

Changes:

This list will not be exhaustive, I simply could not keep track of every change made during the months of development.

  • All maps have had a redesign, keeping the general layout but improving the attention to detail and optimizing things.

  • Breaker - Don't have too many lights on.

  • There's a new tutorial which goes over all the gameplay mechanics you'll need to know.

  • So many improvements to disturbances, reporting, and report responses.

  • Time moves quite a bit quicker now, you'll have to be on top of things to make it through the night!

  • Removed the different "modes" of Contracts, they all play the same now, with disturbances, thieves, and enemies you'll have to keep on top of!

  • Added contract difficulty, plans to allow selecting difficulty of contracts in the near future.

Future Plans:

I mentioned that I do not intend to entirely halt development on Security Simulator: Nightshift, and I'll use this section to explain what my plans are. While there are plans for more maps to finish the game's story, I want to build up modding and contract creation tools to let the community create their own maps, enemies, disturbances, items, and more. The next phase of development will focus on building up the support and tooling for these kinds of community additions through the workshop.

I'm really excited to be releasing this after so long in development, and I hope you all enjoy Security Simulator: Nightshift!
