Thank you to everyone that has wishlisted, playtested, and supported this crab game along the way.

I wanted to give the community some notes about SU and its development up to this point:

  • SU took a year to make, and was made while working an unrelated full-time job

  • Solo developer

  • 0 years of experience when started

  • $0 development budget, completely self funded

  • $0 marketing budget, completely self promoted

  • Ended roughly -$500 to budget

So if we hit any walls during development, please keep in mind that I am not a A, AA, or AAA studio and things will take time/effort. Patience is appreciated!

Here are some known development objectives that are on the roadmap for 1.1:

  • Shadows on medium settings in certain areas are flashy

  • Input binding is being worked on

  • UE5 does not natively support Playstation controllers, so some inputs may not work (try Steam mapping)

There are a ton of easter eggs in Scuttle Up to find. When you do, share them with the community! Also, at the time of this post my best run is 19:26. Think you can beat that?
