Scriptorium: Master of Manuscripts changes
Hello Scribes!
We know, we know - it's been a while since our last Steam post. First, we treated ourselves to a well-deserved (and much-needed after how busy we were working on the April release and the June major update) vacation, and right after coming back we got back to the drawing board and started planning what's next for Scriptorium. Sorry for the silence - but today we're back with quite a lot of news to catch you up on!
New content update is coming next month!
Let's start with the most important part to clear up any doubts: Scriptorium development is not over yet, and we are not slowing down! Next month you can expect another content update to be released for Scriptorium, with some awesome stuff inside.
And while it won't be as big as our major update with the Balatro crossover last month, we've spent quite a lot of time assessing your recent feedback and got some genuinely cool new features and assets lined up for you. What's inside? It's a secret for now, but as a sneak peek... let's just say the word "template" is going to be significant. Watch this space - more details coming soon! (and yes, some drawable assets are heading your way, so keep your quills sharp!)
Hotfix is out! we're fixing corrupted saves
In the meantime, over the past few days we released a hotfix addressing a nasty issue with corrupted saves. Some of you reported that after the last update your existing save files created during the early days of Scriptorium stopped working and the game forced you to start from scratch - thank you so much for flagging it and for your patience, we know such bugs suck and that's always the worst kind of bug to run into as a player. Happy to tell you that this issue should now be resolved when it comes to issues with existing save files.
First Art Challenge results are in!
Time to announce the winner of our very first Steam Community Art Challenge! The winner is julysses.s.grant with this incredible Bioshock fanart!
Huge congratulations to the winner, and a massive thank you to everyone who took part - we admired every single submission!
Another Scriptorium Community challenge coming soon... and it's going to be something special.
Trust us... you don't wanna miss it. We can't share the details just yet (but argh, we'd love to!) but we can say this much - it's going to be something absolutely wild. Honestly, we've never done anything quite like this before in our studio's history! 🐺 Remember these words - a truly unique opportunity to show off your creativity is coming... and to win some one-of-a-kind prizes.
We're part of the Simfest!
Lastly - we are part of the Simfest festival here on Steam! To celebrate it, we decided to temporarily adjust the price of Deluxe Edition!
Scriptorium Deluxe Edition Basically for the regular price of our game you can get Scriptorium AND the Music&Art pack that contains tons of Scriptorium goodies, from downloadable OST to printable graphics you can use for many, many real world purposes - including printable artworks for TTRPG sessions, Valentine's Day cards, work organizers, tabletop games and more. That's the best moment to get it!
That's all for today - but as always, we'll be back soon with more news! Thank you so much, Friends. See you soon!
