As simple as this feature might seem, it took us much longer than expected - but we’re certain it was worth the effort.

Originally, we planned for classic NPC behavior, like in most action platformers. This meant NPCs would mindlessly walk back and forth, waiting for the player to show up and then get clobbered. Since our game has many other features, we thought simple NPC behavior like this would be enough.

But we changed our minds. 🙂

We decided to let NPCs move through the world just like the player can, actively chasing player and navigating the obstacles of our organic environment. This has added a whole new level of dynamic gameplay, creating unpredictable encounters throughout Scribe RPG.

Now, we’re charging full steam ahead toward finishing our free demo, fixing bugs, and polishing everything up.

Wish us strength - and if you’d like to support us, please share or wishlist our game. We’d greatly appreciate it!
