addedHere’s what’s new:
addedBrand new control scheme We’ve completely rebuilt the controls scheme from the ground up. Returning players - definitely check your key bindings. All updates are reflected in the in-game hints and tutorial.
changedImproved combat feel Close combat just got a big upgrade. Movement now directly controls your character’s facing direction instead of turning your character with the cursor. Making fights feel more fluid and natural. In shooting modes, the original behavior remains - the character always faces the cursor.
changedAuto weapon holster No more constant micromanaging. Your character now automatically holsters their weapon after a set time. Want control? You can tweak the timing anytime in the options.

🔥 The new version of ScribeRPG demo is live! 🔥

Here’s what’s new:

  1. Brand new control scheme We’ve completely rebuilt the controls scheme from the ground up. Returning players - definitely check your key bindings. All updates are reflected in the in-game hints and tutorial.

  2. Improved combat feel Close combat just got a big upgrade. Movement now directly controls your character’s facing direction instead of turning your character with the cursor. Making fights feel more fluid and natural. In shooting modes, the original behavior remains - the character always faces the cursor.

  3. Auto weapon holster No more constant micromanaging. Your character now automatically holsters their weapon after a set time. Want control? You can tweak the timing anytime in the options.

  4. Instant enemy lock Jump straight into the action - lock onto the nearest enemy with a single button press in shooting modes. Faster targeting, smoother fights.

  5. Auto defend system When things get too close for comfort, the game’s got your back. If an enemy is right on top of you, your character automatically switches to close combat mode - so you can react instantly and stay alive.

Of course, this is just the beginning - we’ve got plenty more updates and improvements in the works, all shaped by your feedback.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts and suggestions - we really appreciate it!

If you get a chance, try out the new controls and combat mechanics and let us know what you think. Your feedback means a lot to us and helps us keep pushing the game forward.
