Default (Stable) Build Updated from v0.39 to v0.41.5

With Open Testing proving very successful and all officially reported bugs resolved, the massive changes from not only v0.40 but also the even bigger updates in v0.41 have now been merged into the Default Steam Build for everyone to enjoy.

A massive thank you to everyone who jumped into the Testing Branch, officially reported issues, and helped work toward a stable build for all players.

Please Note: The way bugs should be reported has changed since v0.39.

  • Bugs mentioned on Discord or Steam discussions may not be investigated or fixed until they are officially reported using the In-Game Bug Reporter (press [F5] in-game or use the [Report a Bug] button in the menus).

  • As the game continues to expand and players take many different paths (where “playing normally” can mean something different for everyone), bugs are becoming increasingly difficult to find, reproduce, and fix without proper diagnostic data (logs).

  • Using the In-Game Bug Reporter requires no extra effort. Simply describe the issue and press [Send]. Everything else that is often overlooked when reporting bugs — including the important diagnostic data — is collected automatically.

  • This helps keep development focused on fixing issues and improving the game as it progresses toward v1.0, rather than spending large amounts of time trying to track down missing information needed to diagnose problems.

The differences between v0.39 and v0.41.5 are substantial — far too many to list individually here. Below is a summary of some of the larger changes, along with links to the full patch notes.

v0.40

  • Reworked Disassembly System

  • Implemented Tool Queueing

  • Implemented Time Pausing System

  • Added In-Game Bug Reporter

  • Rebuilt the entire Core Tutorial System

  • And much more!

v0.41+

  • Fully rebuilt the Core Disassembly System

  • Expanded the Tutorial to better guide new players and reduce exploits/soft locks

  • Added Free-Floating Energy — Energy now drains based on your actions

  • Added Coffee as a way to regain Energy and extend Disassembly sessions to manage larger stockpiles

  • Added Wheelbarrow — ideal for smaller items and able to move up curbs normally

  • Added CRT TV as a new disassembly item

  • New Components: Flyback Transformer, Speaker, Dual Coil Transformer, and more

  • Static Storage Container capable of holding 100kg of materials

  • Automatic Smart Light Sensors

  • And much more!

Once again, a massive thank you to everyone using the In-Game Bug Reporter. It only takes the same short description players would normally provide, but the automatic diagnostic data greatly improves my ability to actually identify and fix issues quickly, without follow-ups or having to run through how to find the logs.
