SCP: Containment Breach 2 changes
We are here to present a major 2.0 update for the game! The project has received significant technical and visual improvements, as well as new content. Update 2.0 is a significant step in the development of the project, aimed at improving stability, visual quality and overall experience. Have fun!
Graphics and Technical Part
The graphics engine has been completely rewritten with real-time support:
Full realtime shadows and lighting system was added.
Volumetric light (light scattering) was added.
SSAO (Screen space Ambient Occlusion) was added.
Added some post-effects such as Anti-Aliasing, Bloom, Color Correction and much more.
Lightmaps have been removed because of the new real-time lighting system.
Added support for new texture maps: Emission (glow), Specular (glare) and Normal (relief).
Critical bugs have been fixed: 55% loading bug, some of Bad allocation compatibility issues, SCP-1048 crash, Gate A crash, and elevators fall-through bug.
Significantly optimized the use of RAM.
Fixed issues with full-screen mode.
Content and Gameplay
The game has been updated to the latest Ultimate Edition Reborn with new rooms and changes.
SCP-457 has been added; Maintenance Tunnels have been replaced with 457 cont chamber.
- Updated models and texturesSCP-939, some classes textures such as CI gunner, some weapons and all hand textures got a new maps.
Added new weapons: HK-G36 and RPG-7, CI now uses HK-G36 insead of SR556.
The item pickup system has been improved: the object's pick up priority is now selects by closest to the center of the screen.
In Co-op mode we added keep inventory setting on SAFE difficulty. Many crashes and some desynchronizations have been fixed.
The main menu, launcher, and graphics settings menu have been updated / reworked.
fizz vending machines have been added in Entrance Zone. :D
Audio and Interface
Added new sound effects in player decontamination areas.
Updated some gunshot sounds.
Intercom now has reverb effect.
Added push-to-talk feature.
Optimized in-game chat (now consumes significantly less FPS thanks to ScrissorRect()).
Now it's night at Gates A/B... Perfect time for cool screenshots :D
Other Improvements
Improved compatibility with Linux by using DirectX 9. (We really hope it will help 🙏).
Added a new debugging crash log. Now you can save us .log and .dmp file to help us debugging the game!
The systems of muzzle flashes and projectile weapons have been updated.
Fixed a lot of minor bugs, issues with physics, mapping, and collisions.
Added new AngelScript features for server creators.

Why do we change the game name?
The game can get more audience by using such a trick, it is also worth it. Regalis (Joonas Rikkonen) allowed us to do such.
How to export rooms now? I can't load in game with old one's....

how can I get the old graphics? I really don't like the new graphics..
Sadly, there's no way to return to the old graphics. You can achieve old lookalike by setting everything to low and enabling SSAO
the game doesn't launch. What should I do?
First of all, check your DirectX runtime package (2010) installation. If it's on the place, check the FAQ, it has a ton of useful fixes for such problems. If nothing helps you, we can assist you in support channel in Discord.
