🚁 Scouts Out Update – Score System Overhaul & Gameplay Improvements
We’ve just rolled out a major gameplay update focused on scoring, feedback, and overall game feel —along with a batch of fixes and tuning improvements.
🔥 New: Score Multiplier System
Chain kills to build up a score multiplier window
Stay aggressive—if you don’t secure another kill in time, the multiplier fades
Designed to reward momentum and create high-intensity scoring bursts
💥 New: Kill Score Flyups
Score popups now spawn at the enemy’s location
Fly dynamically to your score UI for a more satisfying feedback loop
Built to reinforce every kill with clear, visual impact
⚡ Improved HUD Feedback
Score and multiplier UI now react instantly when points are earned
Multiplier visuals update and animate as you push higher chains
Overall UI responsiveness has been significantly tightened
🤖 Drone Fixes & Improvements
Fixed multiple drone issues including:
Damage inconsistencies
Knockback behavior
General movement and reliability
🎯 Gameplay & Balance Updates
Improved enemy pacing and readability across runs
Better telegraphing for incoming threats
More consistent difficulty ramp without sudden spikes
🎥 Camera & Visual Improvements
Fixed an issue causing incorrect camera zoom behavior
Improved camera transitions to better match gameplay intensity
🛠️ Additional Fixes
Fixed edge-case crashes and cleanup issues
Improved enemy aiming behavior for more consistent encounters
Addressed multiple VFX, audio, and spawning issues
