Gameplay

50 Cal Heat Balance

  • Reduced heat buildup per shot so sustained fire feels less punishing.

Enemy Behavior

  • Added movement speed variation so enemies no longer feel uniformly paced.

  • Spawn timing now includes subtle randomization to prevent overly predictable waves.

Controls

  • Increased maximum vertical sensitivity for helicopter controls, improving responsiveness at higher settings.

Combat Feedback

  • Enemies now show clearer visual hit feedback.

  • Player and enemy projectiles now have distinct color behaviors for better readability.

UI & Menu Improvements

  • Fixed several controller navigation issues across menus.

  • Settings menu now opens with a valid selection and correctly restores focus when closed.

  • Fixed Game Over screen button navigation issues.

  • Adjusted leaderboard tile sizing for improved readability.

Leaderboards

  • Leaderboards now load larger result sets instead of only the top entries.

  • Scoreboard data now appears earlier when player information becomes available.

Visual & Audio

  • Improved projectile emission visuals.

  • Updated FMOD integration and menu audio handling.

  • Additional polish applied to menus and UI layouts.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed rockets spawning but not moving.

  • Fixed slowdown state issues that could lock gameplay at minimum speed.

  • Fixed projectile color regression.

  • Fixed UI countdown edge cases.

  • Fixed prefab reference issues that could cause runtime errors.

More polish and gameplay improvements are on the way as development continues. While work has continued, I am only one person and I apologize for the delays. This unfortunately has put me a little behind in updates.
