It’s already been four months since the release of my game. I’m truly grateful for all the purchases and play reports since August—thank you so much for your continued support. After a long wait, I’m happy to share what’s planned for upcoming updates.

■Gameplay Improvements

I plan to enhance certain spells and to reduce player frustration that may feel unfair to players.

  • Umbrella Sign Enhancement

Umbrella Sign will be enhanced to address the lack of effective attack options against bosses in HARD Mode. As this spell’s intended role is high defense, I plan to add a new feature that enables counterattacks against spell cards from a distance.

  • Misfortune Sign Enhancement

Misfortune Sign will be enhanced to address the low durability of ofuda (paper talismans) against boss attacks. I plan to add a tutorial to spotlight the charged ofuda shooting, since some players may have missed it.

  • River Sign Enhancement

I plan to enhance the upward attack, while keeping the mechanic of throwing attack unchanged. River Sign will be enhanced to address the lack of effective attack options against close-range threats.

Additional improvements include:

  • Reduce difficulty of the final boss in HARD Mode

  • Reduse hitboxes for certain enemies and their attacks

These changes aim to reduce player frustration caused by enemy behavior that may feel unfair.

■Usability Improvements

I plan to add features to enhance the gameplay experience.

  • Add key binding options

  • Add fullscreen mode

These are among the most commonly requested player customization features.

And, I plan to add the following updates:

  • Increase tip variation on the Game Over screen

  • Add a tutorial for Shooting Mode

  • Add a new message after clearing NORMAL Mode

These additions aim to help players discover features and content they may have missed.

■Language Support

I plan to update support for unsupported languages

  • New Fonts for Additional Languages

I plan to add fonts to enable proper in-game display for more languages.

  • Externalization of In-Game Text

All in-game text will be moved to external files, allowing for editing outside the game.

Ideally, I would localize texts for each language under my direction. However, I’ve heard that players in various regions have already begun their own localization efforts. As a first step, I’m implementing the above updates to support those initiatives.

Dear dedicated fans—thank you!

■Additional Guidelines

To help players enjoy the game in a variety of ways, I plan to publish a more detailed set of guidelines. The full version will be released as a NEWS post, but here is a summary of what’s planned.

There have been no major issues so far, and players are welcome to continue enjoying the game as they always have. That said, I’d appreciate it if you could take a moment to review the following.

Use of In-Game Assets

  • You may use in-game assets in videos and streams as long as it is non-commercial and respectful

In response to requests regarding the use of pixelart as video material, I will clarify the guidelines for these assets.

Additionally, some pixelart not used in the game but published via official social media accounts will also be made available for limited use.

Unofficial Translations

  • You may distribute translated text data as long as it is non-commercial and respectful

  • Please clearly indicate whether your translation is based on the Japanese version or the English version.

As part of the upcoming language support, I will publish guidelines for player-created translations. Some lines differ in nuance between the Japanese and English versions, so I kindly ask for your cooperation in specifying the source version.

■Version Overview

In ver 1.02, I plan to prioritize language support and adjustments to reduce difficulty. And ver 1.03 will focus on spell enhancements and usability improvements through new feature additions.

Looking further ahead, I’m planning a new mode for dedicated players, scheduled as version 1.10. Details will be announced after the release of version 1.03 with new information, so please stay tuned!

Thank you again for your support!
