Ruina changes
This update focuses on two things I've been meaning to add for a long time improved controller support and cloud saves, plus some under-the-hood work to make the game run smoother.
🎮 Full Controller Support
Ruina can now be played more smoothly with a controller. Prior this was just a joystick that could move the mouse around, but now this includes:
Full menu and UI navigation
A reticle in run to allow highlighting and easy navigation
Easy bumper navigation to move the reticle around the layout and swap tabs
This also improves compatibility for Steam Deck and other handheld PCs, if you've been holding off playing on the go, now's a good time to jump back in.
☁️ Steam Cloud Saves
Your save data now syncs automatically via Steam Cloud. Switch between desktop, laptop, or Steam Deck and pick up your run exactly where you left off, no manual save transfers needed.
⚙️ Under the Hood
Ruina has been upgraded to Godot 4.7, resolving a framerate stutter reported by some players. You should notice smoother performance across the board.
As always, thanks for playing and for the feedback that shaped this update. If you run into any issues with the new controller support, let me know in Discussions or hit me up on social media. I'm still fairly active and responsive there.
