Debut Festival!
Rogue Night is currently being featured in the Debut Festival here on Steam! This festival features developers who have recently, or are expecting to release their first game as a studio. Additionally, the game received a late-night update last night. The changelog for this update is below:
New Features:
- Corrected weapons at merchant and weapon crafting bench.
- Crates and barrels no longer drop food.
- Added grappling utility to the whip, and added grappling locations throughout the world.
- Added "pull switches" that can be activated from a distance by using the scythe.
- Added vine covered switches and doors.
- Added hay stacks that can be ignited by a flaming crossbow bolt.
- Added tier 2/legendary weapons.
- Changed the attack speed stat to adjust the image speed of attacks rather than being tied to enemy iframes. The draw speed of ranged weapons do not change, but the speed of the projectile increases.
- Duplicate weapons now give 5 iron when picked up. This has always been the case, but this is now shown in a more intuitive way.
- Weapons must now be fully laying on the ground and motionless to be picked up.
Bug Fixes:
- Corrected depth issues with the cracked blocks that can be smashed with a hammer.
- Corrected gamepad/controller controls to work with new weapon system.
- Fixed an annoying bug that would play the 'deny' sound on loop when using the controller in the overworld.
