RnGesus Slayer changes
Hi all,
After having the DEMO out for 10 days now, and seeing so many player struggle with the game, and quit early, I decided that changes are needed to help new players easing into the game a lot easier.
Hopefully these changes will improve this awesome DEMO median play-time too. It was 3 minutes after a few days of release. After the releasing of the tutorial, it's 7 minutes now, which I say the tutorial from the last patch has done it job nicely, but still, I spend a lot of time thinking about the final boss, and the bonus stage, and less than 10% of the players have seen it, so I just want more people to know about it and experience the awesomeness of the final boss.
Anyway, here is the detailed changes:
Player's MaxHP increase from 70 -> 125
Player will automatically heals 50% of max HP when entering the next stage. The original difficulty does not have any healing at all, because I want to encourages more careful play and remove stalling, but it's too hard as off now, and that feeling when you enter the next stage with 5 HP, only to be defeated right on the first turn isn't fun at all. Let's have these experience when you know more about the game.
Enemy now starts with 75% of their Max HP only. This make it easier to kill them, but make 1 POWER (double damage for full-HP enemy useless for now).
The starting decks is a lot less crap now. In the original difficulty, it has 6 level 1 cards (sword, axe, staff x2 and gold x2), now, it only have 3 cards, 1 sword, 1 staff, and 1 gold. This makes the cost of cleaning the decks a lot cheaper, and buying new cards into your deck will have a lot effect as their chance of appearing is significantly higher.
As a result, the starting cards that you select will have its level increased as well. Originally, the choices are 1 level 2 card, and 2 level 1 cards, with random chance of each card is DEMON or DOOM upgraded. Now, You can have a level 3-3-2 combo, 4-2-2 combo, 5-2-1 combo, or in very rare case, 6-1-1 combo.
Due to the changes above, End-of-stage cards rewards are also a lot stronger.
For now, the original difficulties are not found in the game. However, I will quickly create another update to add ascension mode, so that once you defeat the RnGesus in the Ascension 0, you can enjoy the DEMO in its original difficulty as well.
That's all, cheers and thanks for playing.
