Behind the Scenes – Tools, Testing & Trailer Work

This sprint was light on in-game features but important for workflow and visibility. We finalized a draft of the next trailer, prepped recording tools, and laid the groundwork for major content coming next.

Trailer Structure – First Draft Complete

We outlined the core beats for the new trailer and completed the first draft - now in Richi’s genius hands for a custom music track.

  • Initial trailer created

  • Key gameplay and narrative moments chosen

  • Final trailer draft #1 sent out for scoring

New Weapon! – Sword & Shield Added

We introduced a new mid-game equipment set - sword and shield - that emphasizes some defensive versatility and opens up unique risk reward playstyles. Fully Implemented:

  • Sword & shield created, equipped, and battle-tested

  • Upgrade path tested and confirmed

  • Granted through main story quest

Bug Fixes – Major Issues Resolved

This round also included fixes for all game-breaking bugs reported during our first playtest cycle-clearing the way for smoother upcoming builds.

Next Devlogs: Content Droping! – Act 3, Side Stories, and More

The next updates will be focused around new content. Expect new areas, character stories, and deeper combat mechanics.

  • Side Character Stories

  • Combat Improvements

  • Expanded food/elixir systems and new hunt mechanics

  • Act 1 Polish – Remaining cutscene cleanups

  • More Items & Recipes – Late-game economy expansion begins
