RIPCORE — New Update Available
We’ve released a major new update for RIPCORE.
This update focuses on making the game feel better overall: better balance, better visuals, better feedback, improved performance, and more quality-of-life changes.
Main Changes
Completely Reworked First Level
The first level has been fully reworked.
We improved its visuals, readability, atmosphere, and overall flow. The beginning of the game should now represent the style of RIPCORE much better and pull players into the action faster.
Improved Balance
We’ve adjusted the game balance to make runs feel fairer and more enjoyable.
The difficulty curve should now feel more consistent, and combat should feel less chaotic while still staying intense.
Difficulty Selection
You can now choose your difficulty before starting a run:
Easy
Medium
Hard
This gives players more control over the experience, whether they want a more casual run or a much tougher challenge.
Separate Leaderboards by Difficulty
Leaderboards are now separated by difficulty:
Easy Leaderboard
Medium Leaderboard
Hard Leaderboard
This makes score competition much fairer, since each difficulty now has its own rankings.
Visuals and Feedback
We’ve made a lot of improvements to the game’s visual feedback:
improved overall visuals;
added new effects;
improved damage feedback;
improved healing feedback;
improved hit feedback when shooting enemies;
added visible hands to weapons.
Weapons should now feel more physical, and combat feedback should be much clearer during intense fights.
Audio Improvements
We’ve improved various sounds across the game.
Weapons, hits, effects, and general gameplay should now feel punchier and more satisfying.
Quality of Life
We also added several important quality-of-life improvements:
tutorial can now be skipped;
post-match stats have been expanded;
fixed an issue where the player upgrade menu could appear while charging an alternative weapon attack, interrupting or blocking the shot.
Performance
We’ve improved game performance.
RIPCORE should now run smoother and more stable, especially during more intense moments.
Thanks to everyone playing RIPCORE, sharing feedback, and helping us improve the game.
We’ll keep working on the game and continue improving gameplay, visuals, balance, and overall game feel.
