Repeated intro

Hello everyone!

It’s been 107 days since Riftborn launched! Though there are still no sales and no reviews, the meta-game for me is to keep on keeping on.

Every month since launch there’s been livestreams and updates. And I’m proud to announce that we officially crossed 100+ Wishlists!

As the days go on and we approach the March 2026 Full Moon Livestream, my commitment remains the same: improve the game.

Now, I’ve got a couple of questions from the audience.

You over there.

------

“Why are you still working on Riftborn if it hasn’t made any sales yet?”

Excellent question.

Truthfully? Because I’m building this game for me.

I play across a lot of genres, but this is the game I’ve always wanted to play. Something I can jump into for 20-30 minutes and experience an emergent narrative that feels competitive, dynamic, and fresh with each run.

It gives me a single place to channel my creative energy. I’ve written books. I’ve designed other games. I have notebooks full of ideas going back to childhood. But this is the first time all my creative momentum is being funneled into an evolving world, month after month.

Watching it grow, even if slow, is worth it.

As a solo developer with a young family, I’m not sprinting. I’m more tortoise than hare.

------

“What does crossing 100+ wishlists actually mean to you?”

It’s a different kind of validation.

I see wishlists like XP. Every one is experience earned for the project. Every one means someone saw Riftborn and thought, “Not yet…but maybe.”

The higher we climb, the closer to leveling up.

I know what this game feels like when you’re in it. It’s crazy, snappy, sweaty, locked-in flow state feels alive. Hitting 100+ wishlists means we’re getting closer to sharing that feeling with folks around the world.

And honestly? I’ve always liked being the underdog.

There’s only one direction to go. Up.

If you’ve read this far, consider wishlisting Riftborn, following the YouTube channel, and tuning in for the next livestream (March 3rd, 2026).

Thanks for being here.

To the Moon!
