addedUpdate 0.3.30 live & Early Access release delay into Q4 2026Q4 2026 delay Unfortunately I have to announce another delay, and once again I apologize. It's not like too much has changed from the previous delay, and most of the current progress is visible in the Demo itself, which will keep staying up. But I would like everyone to have a great time with the initial Early Access release. And giving myself some more time to properly develop the needed systems and especially content, as well as polishing and bugfixing, seems to be the best path to get there. I'd rather announce it now, than late again. The work holidays I've had recently were productive, but I also spent a lot of time simply doing nothing, staying away from the computer and trying to relax. I'm convinced the delay is best for the game and community. If the game releases in a better state, I believe the community will be larger and more active. I hope everybody can wait a little longer <3 Thank you so much for your feedback and support! The next update will be about the bait system. And in this one, I'm adding some props that have been suggested.

I've been planning the new world prop system on the side, that will replace these simple placable items. That will allow more complex placing and previewing the placement, as well as not needing to hold all the items in your inventory. It will also eventually allow recoloring / tinting of props. You'll then also be able to place more props than currently possible by upgrades in the PocketPal.

Update 0.3.30 live & Early Access release delay into Q4 2026

Hello fishers :)

Q4 2026 delay Unfortunately I have to announce another delay, and once again I apologize.

New props

  • More pride flags as dangly attachments added

New placable props have been added:

  • Large Bean Bag

  • Camping Tent

  • Monobloc Lawn Chair

  • Picnic Blanket (2 colors)

  • Beach Straw Mat (4 colors)

  • Sleeping Bag (3 colors)

  • Tiny Sleeping Bag (3 colors)

  • Colored lanterns (4 new colors)

These are used and placed like the old placables (Bench, Campfire, Lantern) with the same limits. I'll try to add some more props in the next updates as well.

Customization

  • Hexcode input for the color picker works now

  • Colors should now be accurate between the game and photo editing software. Just make sure to use the "True Colors" button before comparing.

  • The "True Colors" button in the color palette section is now a little sun icon on the top right of the customization menu in general

  • Seams begone! The dark seams / outlines that were visible when colorable elements where meeting each other are fixed. This was very noticable when adjacent colors had low contrast. For example: If you used the Spotted2 body pattern and used 3 different light greys, the spots would all have black outlines. There might still be small artifacts around pupils bordering the edge of the eye, since the pupil is slightly offset from the eye texture. I'll try to improve this soon too.

  • Emotes should now play properly again (not play twice, and work again on client side)

  • "No eye blinking" was added as an option in the general customization option. Useful for characters that don't necessarily blink (cryptids, robots and similar)

  • In the character customization, the buttons to select the primary, secondary or tertiary color slot will now be hidden / shown depending on if that element supports the color slot. For example: Selecting a closed eye? Will only show one color button. Selecting an open eye with eyebrow and makeup? That will show three color buttons. If the previously selected color slot doesn't exist on the new selection, the selection will be switched to the first available one color slot. This should help with the confusion from before, when a color slot button didn't actually do anything for a selected customization element.

Painting

  • Brush size is now a Slider from 1 to 20 instead of the buttons

  • "True colors" button is now also a little sun icon

Other

  • Player shadow slightly adjusted to reduce the dark see-through effect (need to look more into this)

Much love <3 Saia
