New Boss: Anomaly Hunter
With prey mode enabled, appears once the countdown reaches 18, 12 and 6 hours remaining.
Each encounter acts as a different phase, gaining new moves for each one.
Each attack makes it move in different ways; combines them to act unpredictably while chasing you regardless of where in the map you are.
New theme for its battle.
New run setting: Prey mode:
Unlocked by obtaining 2 unlocks which require winning with multiple characters in the same run.
Every 6 hours, the Anomaly Hunter will challenge you.
Defeating it grants you Aether, used to craft powerful upgrades.
New items, with these there are now over 300!: Aether Dropped by the Anomaly Hunter.
"Latent matter, or the lack of it. Exists only to be molded by the Anomaly."
Hunter's Launcher Recipe: Rocket Launcher + Aether + Aether.
Fire1: Fire a rocket that travels towards where you are looking and generates clouds which constantly damage anything touching them.
Fires twice as fast while in the air.
Explosions can’t damage you and knock you backwards at high speeds.
Rockets don’t follow your aim while holding fire2.
Final Spark Recipe: Spark + Aether.
Spell cooldown: 12.
Fire a black hole which pulls in enemies then generates a large laser beam.
Aether Arrow Recipe: Wood Arrow + Aether.
Can only be equipped with the Longbow.
All other arrows in your inventory get shot alongside it.
Dim Gun Recipe: Flare Gun + Aether.
Fire1 Fire a dim flare which explodes on impact and applies Dark Flames.
Enemies take an extra 100 damage for each unique negative status effect + 25 per effect level.
Other changes:
New Sub Scanner model and behavior.
Added bubble particles coming out of the Submarine's proppeler
Fixed the Submarine's missile speed being framerate dependent.
Updated stick's description to mention the faster switch speed.
Arsenal slots update when you open it.
Death animation that shows you losing a live no longer plays in the tutorial.
Improved water to avoid causing visible seams in spheres.
Volatile effect's explosion is larger if the enemy is also wet.
Fixed Spark dealing yellow damage.
Explosive Arrow can knock you back.
Changed Fireball's crafting recipe to Pocket Star + Gunpowder. The Cannon was needed for way too many items, this cuts its recipes in half.
Spark is crafted using a Pocket Star instead of Fireball, so it can still be obtained at any time.
