Social Class Rework

The old social class resembles EU4's estate. However, it is a bit too complex and requires constant attention. Also, the consequences of granting privileges only start to show after a while, which makes the game hard to pick up.

The new social class mechanic is simplified. Every 10 years, 10 new agendas are brought up by social classes (there are 5 social classes now). Each agenda is supported and opposed by 2 social classes. You can adopt an agenda if the supporting social classes have at least 50% combined influence. After adopting an agenda, the supporting classes gain 10 Influence, and opposing classes lose 10 Loyalty.

If a social class is dominant (Influence above 50%) or disloyal (Loyalty below 50), it will apply a negative modifier (different for social classes). There are two new actions: Curtail (reduce a social class influence by 20%) and Favor (increase a social class loyalty by 20).

Provincial Spirits

Each province now has unique upgrades that provide distinct bonuses. For Lugdunensis, the provincial spirits are:

  • Cavalry Predominance: +1% War Power for each 1% of Cavalry Unit composition - Christian Fervor: +1 Christianity Influence Per Year after converting to Christianity - Mercantile Synergy: +10% Trade Profit for each active trade

Annex Cost

Patronage duration now reduces the cost of annexing client provinces: up to 50% discount based on how long they've been your client. I plan to introduce more upgrades that further reduce the annex cost.

Legacy Tree Expansion

The legacy tree has been greatly expanded: now there are 87 upgrades, and I am adding more in later patches.

When upgrading from Path 0.9, your save file should be migrated automatically. In case the migration fails, you can reset the save file.
