Reignbreaker changes
It's been amazing seeing so many people play our demo in the last week! We've already reached thousands of players and over 50 positive reviews, giving us a Very Positive rating on Steam — thank you so much for your incredible response and for leaving your reviews! It helps us a lot. <3
Many of you have also provided lots of feedback and reports, so we've made a few adjustments to improve our demo and just released a patch. Thanks for all your feedback so far, and please keep it coming in the Steam Community Hub — it helps us make our demo & game as good as they can be!

Balancing Changes
PUNCH
🤘 Increased punch impact feeling
Slightly increased base range to better match visual
Increased stagger of first punch
Reduced knockback of first punch
JAVELIN
Increased Shotgun strike damage from 10 to 13
Reduced Shotgun strike heat cost from 15 to 13
Increased Shotgun throw damage from 13 to 15
VAULT ITEMS
Increased Acid Coat damage from 8 to 10
Increased Power Slam damage increase from 15% to 45%
Increased Calm and Collected heat recovery from 18 to 20
🤘 Removed screen shake effect from Spraycans that are not triggered manually
SHOP ITEMS
Reduced Leather Armour damage reduction from 15% to 10%
Reduced Steel Armour damage reduction form 20% to 15%
ENEMIES
🤘 Added the ability to stagger some enemies during their attack start-ups
Fixed some attacks using higher damage profiles than intended on the Chimera
Reduced projectile speed on Chimera Shotgun attacks
Reduced hitbox of electric area in Chimera fight to better match the visuals
STATUS EFFECTS
Rooted duration increased from 2 seconds to 3 seconds
Slow effects now linger for 1.5 seconds after leaving slow areas
GENERAL
🤘 Reduced amount of time it takes for Vault Items to spawn after combat
🤘 Path to upgrade station in camp is clearer
🤘 Locked permanent character upgrade slots are now visible, so that players can see how many they can equip in the full release
🤘 Level Up statue and Healing Statue have more distinct visuals
🤘 Added a new upgrade to the demo - enjoy taking advantage of the Punch Rush combo!
🤘 Added an additional character upgrade slot
🤘 Changed character upgrade resolve prices (demo only)
🤘 Damage number sizes are smaller when damage is lower
Changed invincibility after taking a hit to include the duration the player is in hit-stop
Additional Javelin unlocks via exploration are more frequent
Changed attack input recognition to allow for more directional control for most attacks
Enemies can now be knocked back while initiating attacks
Reduced required combo score to get to max combo level
🤘 Adjusted audio mixing levels during combat and dialogue
Explosive barrel traps can now be triggered by enemy projectiles
Desktop and Steam icons have been updated
Background of pause and main menu screens fades faster
Reduced the required combo score to reach max level
Bug Fixes
🤘 Optimizations to reduce game stuttering and performance improvements
🤘 Fixed keyboard and mouse controls overlapping in Controls menu
🤘 Fixed compatibility issues with Dualsense controllers
Dead enemies no longer block Javelin throws
Clef will no longer get stuck facing in a single direction while running
Health bar no longer persists into death screen
Run timer now properly pauses when players pause the game
UI sounds play properly when using a directional pad
"Follow us" text in main menu is properly localized
Fixed issue where swapping input methods would hide state upgrades
Removed debug tools that could be accessed in the demo
Fixed main menu background occasionally not appearing
Javelin can no longer be thrown through environmental obstacles
Action checks now properly disappear when player leaves training area
Fixed UI inconsistency that made dash upgrades appear inaccessible
Removed delay when moving between main menu tabs
Fixed debris effect from enemy spawns sometimes looping
Fixed attacks sometimes not facing the direction of player input
Fixed ripple effect from picking up Vault Item sometimes obscuring menu text
Fixed healing station giving inconsistent health amounts when reloading save
Deep Cut now properly reduces damage from bleeding enemies
Tutorial text no longer reappears after reloading saves
Fixed tutorial UI overlapping each other
Fixed turret enemies sometimes walking in place
"Boss Defeated" notification no longer covers dialogue & character animations
Added checkmark in Javelin Armoury to show which Javelin is equipped
Fixed wonky inventory screen navigation
Fixed incorrect combat SFX timings after repeatedly using the same moves
Safe room time challenge no longer displays as failed when the player has successfully completed the challenge
Fixed minor visual bugs in environment
Fixed parts of the Settings UI not being clickable
Fixed infinite loading screen caused by dialogue triggering while pause menu is open
Pause menu can no longer be opened while defeat screen is displayed
Fixed performance issues caused by repeated Railgun Slams
Fixed overlapping text in run result screen in certain languages
Fixed action checks being cut off in certain languages
Javelin no longer blows up to 3x its size when the player executes after using Punch Rush
Riot item now properly improves heat recovery times
Fixed bug with baby bellgrunt interaction
Fixed rare issue that prevented interaction with objects in camp after death
Fixed issue that caused players to get stuck on the Vault Item selection screen
Volume can now be adjusted correctly
Queen should now always appear in the death screen
Fixed animation timing when activating Fuse Boxes and Gear Boxes
Text popups now properly disappear when after interacting with the grafitti wall
Post-combat notifications now properly displayed after every combat
Shop Items that are used up simultaneously no longer have overlapping notifications
Fixed a hitbox displacement when combining Punch and Paint and Paint Slash
