Recess changes
A Quick Update
Hi everyone!
First, I want to apologize for how long it's been since the last major update.
As a solo developer, game development can sometimes take longer than expected, and over the past month I've been hard at work on what has become the largest update Recess has received so far. Instead of releasing several smaller patches, I chose to spend the time improving many different parts of the game all at once.
My goal has been simple: make Recess a more polished, more fun, and more enjoyable experience for everyone.
A Major Update
This update includes improvements throughout the game, including:
New content to discover • Gameplay improvements across multiple game modes • Lots of bug fixes and stability improvements • Better game flow and overall polish • Quality-of-life improvements • Changes based on community feedback
There are countless smaller fixes and adjustments as well, and I can't wait for everyone to try everything that's changed.
First Look on Wednesday!
Before the update launches, I'll be sharing a closer look at everything that's been in the works.
Starting Wednesday, August 12, I'll be releasing new trailers, development logs, and previews showcasing the new content, gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and many of the changes coming in this update.
If you're curious about what's changed or want a sneak peek before release day, be sure to keep an eye on the Youtube page over the next few days!
Free for 24 Hours
To help more people discover Recess and grow the community, Recess will be completely FREE for 24 hours on Saturday, August 15.
If you've been thinking about trying the game, or if you have friends who might enjoy it, this is the perfect chance to jump in together.
The promotion will begin on Saturday, August 15 and will last for 24 hours (following Steam's standard sale schedule for your region). Once you claim the game during the promotion, it's yours to keep forever.
The more players we can bring together, the easier it becomes to fill lobbies, create memorable matches, and continue improving Recess for everyone.
Thank You
Every review, bug report, suggestion, and piece of feedback has helped shape this update.
Recess has always been a passion project, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported it so far. I hope this update shows just how much work has gone into making the game better, and I hope the free promotion helps introduce even more players to the playground.
Thank you all for your patience and support.
See you on the playground!
