Version 1.4.7

The in-game chat didn’t work as well as planned, so we took another pass at it and it will continue to improve. We rebuilt the chat box and made improvements that make it more reliable. Driving just got more fun, because now you can use your tools in the car to plan your route more effectively with GPS, GPS+IT and Night Vision now toggleable while in vehicles. The lighting also took a giant leap forward with Lumen lighting now working on mid-range GPUs as we continue to improve the performance as well as the in-game experience. New

  • Rebuilt in-game chat box — a new native chat box with World / Squad / Clan / Whisper tabs, drag-to-move and resize, stays on-screen, and fades when idle.

  • Smoother and more reliable than the previous overlay.

  • Use tools while driving — GPS, GPS+IR, and Night Vision can now be toggled from the driver’s seat.

  • Squad down alerts — when a squadmate goes down, you get a squad chat callout plus minimap and map emphasis.

Vehicles

  • Fixed other players being able to walk through — or get stuck on — a vehicle you’re driving.

  • Your GPS+IR enemy blips no longer disappear from the minimap when you get into a vehicle.

Graphics & Performance

  • Lumen lighting on more hardware — dynamic global illumination is now enabled on mid-range GPUs, with a lower memory footprint.

  • Further first-run graphics auto-detection fixes — high-end GPUs now benchmark to their correct tier (e.g. Epic) instead of being set too low.

  • Lighting and streaming performance optimizations, and reduced shader hitching on Marova.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed inventory and vault items duplicating or falling out of sync, and inventory

sometimes appearing empty after loading in (until a reload).

  • Fixed crashes that could occur while streaming into your base.

  • Reduced crashes during vehicle and world travel.

  • Fixed the game stalling or crashing during shader compilation — for example a long freeze on the “Let’s Go” / startup screen, especially right after a graphics driver or game update.

  • Fixed enemies floating on the sidewalks in Seaside City.

  • Fixed the graphics settings tab showing the wrong quality level after a reset until reopened.

  • Corrected the default mouse sensitivity (fresh installs and reset-to-defaults now use 100).
