Patch Notes – Release Version
Core Gameplay
Runs were taking far too long (45–60 minutes, even longer for first-time players). Our target is 20–30 minutes, and 40–60 minutes for new players. To tighten pacing, we streamlined several node events and reduced transition times between encounters.
Changes:
Reduced effect durations in Odin’s Trial, Goldmine, and Hunting Grounds.
Decreased load times between nodes.
Overall, this removes roughly 1 minute per year during a run.
Battles remain the same pace, but the time between battles is now significantly faster.
New Systems
Ascend
Win 10 victories in a run to challenge the Jarl Leader. Defeat them to claim the throne and become the new leader until another player dethrones you.

After Battle Report
New end-of-battle screen showing all Vikings and their combat stats.
Node Free-for-All
Starting a new run above level 1 now unlocks most nodes immediately, giving you full freedom to choose your route and build strategy.
New Abilities
Chain Lightning Strike – Chains to 2 targets for 50% damage each.
Soul Harvest – Permanently gain +5 Damage, +30 Health, +30 Armor per kill.
Berserker Rage – +10 Damage per attack (max 10). Resets when hit.
Whirlwind Assault – Hit all enemies for 20% damage.
Execution Chain – Reset cooldown on kill, chains up to 5 times.
Vengeance Strike – Bonus pure damage equal to 150% of damage taken.
Contagion Spreader – Spread all status effects to adjacent enemies.
Phoenix Fury – Revive with 50% HP, gain Haste, deal 100 AoE fire damage.
Blood Pact – Sacrifice 20% current HP to deal that as pure damage.
Stat & Balance Changes
Viking Stat Increases
All Vikings now have +25%–50% Health.
All Vikings now have +30%–50% Armor.
Blacksmith Armor:
Easy: 2 → 4
Hard: 4 → 8
Synergy Reworks
Old:
Raiders: +10% Damage
Warden: +15% Armor
Skirmisher: +1 Speed, +5% Damage
Berserker: +2 Speed
New:
Raiders: +5% Damage, +5% Health
Warden: +15% Armor, +10% Health
Skirmisher: +3% Damage, +3% Health, +3% Armor
Berserker: +1 Speed
Equipment Adjustments
Slight reduction to raw damage values.
Increased Health, Armor, and added new stat bonuses.
Status effect bonuses significantly increased:
Healing, Shield, Regen, Haste, Slow, Poison
Tooltips
Full pass on tooltip formatting and wording.
Added colored highlights to clearly display key effects.
Fixes
Shop now prevents swapping Vikings by dragging onto occupied slots; an alert appears instead. (Still allows merging from shop → player inventory.)
Fixed player level data not saving correctly.
Duplicate Runes now return to inventory instead of being consumed.
Fixed duplicate database entries when fighting non-PvP opponents.
Various spelling fixes on the map and tutorial screens.
Removed the “I’m Stuck” button from the Goldmine.
Added SFX when applying a rune.
Updated multiple passives for clarity.
Tavern Relic container now scrolls when holding more than 8 relics.
