Radical Zomboarding changes
First, thank you all for taking the time to play the demo for Radical Zomboarding! I am sincerely grateful for the outpouring of support, feedback, and suggestions for the game.
Thanks to your feedback, I implemented a slew of improvements and additions which I hope you'll all enjoy! You can read more about them in the changelog below:
Update for 3-11-25:
Fixes:
Fixed an issue where pressing the long trick button would cause you to slide on the ground (note: there are no long tricks yet, this was a holdover from a super old version of the game)
Fixed an issue where you could only do an Indy or a Stalefish when attempting a grab with a controller which would render certain challenges impossible
Fixed an issue where gravity wouldn't reset after completing a challenge that altered gravity
Fixed descriptions of a few challenges that referenced long tricks
Fixed an issue where buying a perk then selling it still showed the card cost as "Purchased!" instead of the perk's actual cost
Fixed the Flairtender's posture and the normals on the Flairtender's hat
Fixed an issue where the boss challenge could potentially appear smaller if the previous boss challenge animation was interrupted
Fixed an issue where subsequent runs could earn more and more money due to the number of challenges completed and perks purchased not being reset. Congrats to those who exploited this to earn a bunch of cash!
Adjustments/Improvements:
Adjusted the input handler so trick directions are easier to use when using a controller
Adjusted the required speed for the speed challenges. Also clarified their descriptions to note the speed must be reached while riding on the ground and not the air.
Capped the bail/wipeout time to a maximum of 6 seconds instead of the previous 10
Improved speed boosts at lower speeds
Improved performance when showing controls on the loading screen
Improved visual feedback on selected UI elements
Additions:
Added a new Bunny Slope which serves as an introductory slope for new zomboarders and has no turrets or barrels
Added a speedometer which will show your current speed
Added a yeti character
Added SFX when buying a perk mid-run, selling a perk, or buying a character/board/etc in the progression shop
Anyway, once more, thank you all for your suggestions and I hope to hear more from you all!
Until next time!
