QUEST TOGETHER changes
PATCH NOTES
Changes to combat:
The combat system has changed to a more "free-form" fighting experience.
Fighters no longer take turns and instead every fighter has their own cooldown timer, which is affected by the fighter's agility.
Positioning inside the battle circle now affects how likely you are to be targeted by a monster; protect your squishy mages by getting all up in the enemy's face!
This change to combat now allows for PVP and, in the future, much larger scale battles with larger teams.
The Daily Quest Board:
Starting from Adventurer Rank 2, you can now take on 5 randomly selected daily quests a day in the guild hall in Eltstadt.
These quests do not progress the story, but they offer a nice little Zin and experience points reward.
Currently there are 100 total daily quests, with more to be added in the future as new mobs and items are added to the game.
The PVP Battlegrounds:
The PVP Battlegrounds are now accessible from either Eltstadt and Orvelte by talking to the Battleground Recruiter NPC.
PVP uses the same free-form fighting as PVE. Use any of your skills, spells and items to beat up your fellow adventurers!
Teams of 4 v 4 duel it out in 5-minute matches. (Pets and NPC party members are not able to participate)
Coming soon: the ability to challenge a fellow player to a duel outside of the Battlegrounds. Any time, anywhere! (note: a duel will require both players to accept, it will not be a PK (Player Kill) system)
New gear:
Added new basic starting gears for the various job classes:
Swordsman: Gambeson Hat, and Gambeson Tunic
Magician: Wizard Hat, Mage's Robes
Archer: Archer Hat, Archer Leggings
Priest: Priest Hood, Priest Robes
Miscellaneous changes:
Added a proper death menu: when you're knocked out in battle you can now choose to revive at your last save point, or wait for help from other players to arrive.
Monsters now drop loot on death, and the way they drop is slightly different. Instead of always dropping 1 item, mobs now roll their entire loot table on death, so you can get multiple drops per kill. (anywhere from zero to five, depending on the mob)
Dropped items now have a 5-second "protection timer," meaning only the person who dropped the item will be able to touch it for the first 5 seconds to prevent loot stealing.
Monster loot also adheres to this timer: the player who dealt the most damage to the monster will be the "owner" for those first 5 seconds, after that anyone can pick it up.
Made level design tweaks to Eltstadt town maps.
