New threats are emerging

You've been many to ask for more variety in enemy types — and that’s something we had clearly in mind for quite a while.

addedWe started working on it back in late December, with an initial phase of concepts and brainstorming around new forms of Sanglines. Since then, these ideas have evolved, gone through a few internal tests (and plenty of sketches and back-and-forth), eventually giving birth to the three creatures you're about to discover today.

We started working on it back in late December, with an initial phase of concepts and brainstorming around new forms of Sanglines. Since then, these ideas have evolved, gone through a few internal tests (and plenty of sketches and back-and-forth), eventually giving birth to the three creatures you're about to discover today.

Gas Sac

The Gas Sac floats peacefully through the air... until it spots you. The moment it does, it heads straight toward you and detonates on contact.

It’s not fast, nor subtle — you’ll spot it easily from above — but ignore it for too long and it can quickly become a serious threat.

Best take it out from a distance before it gets too close. A distracted Cyborg could quickly regret it. When it explodes, it releases a corrosive gas that can be fatal to your synthetic body.

Flyer

As its name suggests, the Flyer prefers to attack from above.

It hovers at medium altitude, observes… then dives toward its target. It can also land to strike on the ground when the opportunity arises.

It shows no mercy: anything that moves is fair game, whether you're on foot or in a vehicle.

Sometimes alone, sometimes in a pack, it forces you to look up and stay mobile — especially in open areas.

Sand Digger

The Sand Digger is a sneaky one. You might see it coming from a distance, but the moment it feels threatened, it burrows — only to return by surprise.

It travels underground, then bursts out to attack with its powerful front limbs. Those aren’t just for offense — it also uses them defensively by shielding itself.

If you happen to be right above when it emerges, it can launch you into the air and leave you exposed.

It can appear almost anywhere, but in sandy regions, it’s clearly in its element.

These three variants are just the beginning. The world of QANGA is evolving — and so are the Sanglines. Other mutations are already being studied, some more aggressive, others… far more unpredictable. Stay sharp, Cyborgs: the threat is just beginning.
