Project Rebearth changes
Hi All!
Apologies for the short delay. I am traveling through Australia for two months and although I am taking my work with me, I might be a bit slower to respond or implement new feature and fixes. But I definitely didn't stand still!
Town icon rendering should be more performant and also more aesthetically pleasing, with smarter logic on which icons to show at what zoom level.
Market names are back! They didn't show since a recent update but are now back. So you can create custom districts in your town.
Trees can now also be rendered as lines and areas! They are more performant than placing trees one by one. Replacing many individual trees by areas and lines should improve the experienced performance. You can choose between 3 densities to create the aesthetic you want.
Inconsistent zoom speed is addressed
Added a new Icon for even larger cities
And of course together with the usual performance tweaks to make the server respond faster, and handle the heavy load of large towns. As well as rendering tweaks to make sure your game renders all these buildings as fast as it can.
And there is more on its way! We are working on getting more animations into the game to make the world feel more alive, as well as new buildings to build to help with gameplay and to make towns even more unique.
So thank you all for sticking around and have fun!
