Project: AMICA changes
It has now been 1 week since we launched the first version of the Project: AMICA Demo and we are incredibely happy to see so many of you enjoying our game.
We've got tons of great feedback and we're working on fixing a lot of the issues reported, as well as tailoring the gameplay experience to our playerbases wishes.
Here's a list of stuff we've gotten reports about!
Shotgun feels weak
Lack of lighting in Mines & Canyon
Lack of Secrets
Players being able to access WIP areas
Automap not saving between areas
Lack of notifying a player being close to a new area
Hud refresh rate is wrong
We'll be working these issues along with any other feedback we've received.
Our main focus aside from fixing issues and working with our feedback, is to keep updating the demo with more content. Before entering Early Access, we want to work and update our demo as "ACT 1". As time goes, we'll rework weapons, animations and Enemies and push these tweaks to the Demo as patches/updates. We're planning on releasing the WIP areas that some of you already found once we feel confident enough.
There's also a Boss being worked on for the first Act. Be ready to revist the demo and find new areas, routes and more!
Project: AMICA is an interconnected experience where you'll be revisiting areas you've already explored, but with new power-ups and weapons as you progress through the game. So even if ACT 1 is a set of areas contained within that act, don't be surprised to find yourself back in the ACT 1 areas once you've reached further in the game.
Our goal is to release Project: AMICA into Early Access once we're done with ACT 2, and keep working on ACT 3 as Early Access progresses.
We're currently looking for a potential publishing partner and/or investor to help further develop our game. We have $0 in budget and are developing the game whenever we have spare time. Our dream is to be able to work full-time on AMICA and finding a publishing partner would help us do so!
Thank you all so much for playing, you'll hear from us soon! Jacob // dofhouse
