Problematic changes
Steam Achievements are now live.
Twenty-five achievements have been added across The Card Game: Judge and Chess.
Steam can now permanently document your victories, poor decisions, and increasingly difficult-to-explain behavior.
Judge Achievements
Judge achievements cover:
Winning verdicts
Finishing and winning matches
Dual sweeps
Power-up abuse
Opening the Grimoire
Surviving a full council of eight human players
Developing a deeply concerning career record
Chess Achievements
Chess achievements cover:
Casual victories
Carnage victories
Chaos victories
Online checkmates
Castling
Pawn promotion
Draws
Defeating, or merely surviving, the Hard engine
Five achievements are hidden.
Steam will reveal them once you commit the relevant offense.
Progress and Online Credit
Achievement progress is remembered across sessions.
Unlocks now queue and retry if Steam briefly loses the paperwork.
Online achievement events have been hardened so non-host players receive proper credit too.
The host no longer gets to control the historical record.
This first set focuses on Judge and Chess.
More achievements will arrive alongside future modes.
Twenty-five new ways to prove you were here.
Unfortunately, so were we.
