Power of Ten - Demo changes
Got a fresh update here for the demo. I'm working on polishing up some demo items in preparation for the full game. Here's a list of what's changed:
Gameplay
Disabled playable ships found in the systems will now have stats associated with them (rather than taking your current stats). You can use these to your advantage if you are having a bad run and need a life boost or just want to find some alternative weapons.
Fixed a bug that caused planet attacking enemies to not fire if they were really far away from you. In fixing this I've reduced the number of attacks these enemies produce to help keep the difficulty similar.
Fixed a bug that caused large ships to spawn too closely to a planet, giving little time for the player to react.
By default the map uses "Tab" as it's keybind. Which should be less of a stretch for you hands!
Some slower enemies have had their speed increased. I didn't like how they'd show up late for the party all the time...
UI
You can now see your secondary weapons on the UI
Graphics
Asteroids have had a facelift. I didn't like how poorly they fit in the environment so I reworked the all.
Warp gate has had a facelift. This was a placeholder sprite that I've just gotten around to updating.
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug where drop upgrades (like Overload) would stop spawning in certain scenarios
Fixed a bug where drop upgrades (like Overload) would cause you to loose focus on the item currently selected
Optimization
A lot of optimization in this version. Some players were experiencing slow down near the end of larger systems. I've made literally hundreds of tweaks here and there to significantly improve the performance of the game as well as clean up a few memory leaks I noticed.
