Content
Weapon & Ammo Overhaul (See this post for details)
One new weapon with a new status effect that will be used more and more
Several upgrades have been reworked or rebuilt completely to accommodate the new weapon system.
New United Trade Federation reputation mechanic.
UI Redesign
Full map shows other details to the players (like max ammo values and past log messages) than standard game UI
Ammo UI completely rebuilt to accommodate the 4 new weapons types
Health UI now has a better indication of what Armor charges do
General Changes
- Rerolling item container interaction has been reworkedYou now hold [F] to reroll an item container and just press [F] once to open it. Copy has been adjusted to better indicate that you don’t have to pay to open them.
New shield generator animation and sprites
Star Former ability does not change the controls.
Trade dialog has been slightly tweaked to make it more clear what you get out of a trade.
Multiple trade options have been removed due to the weapon system overhaul.
Balance Changes
You cannot take damage shortly after exiting a warp.
Most large ships have had their health buffed a small amount to compensate for the ammo rework.
Several enemies have higher turn speeds to ensure they won’t get left too far behind by the pack.
Mine enemies will throw their mines in your direction instead of dropping them behind themselves.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a turret crash for modular ships warping out of the system
Fixed a bug where spamming clicking buttons would cause them to perform their action repeatedly
If you are transferring resources and the target changes you will no longer continue transferring to that new target without additional input.
Additional changes as of 12/14/20:
You can find ammo boxes scattered throughout the systems
Enemies will have a much higher chance to drop ammo (except for extremely weak enemies, they will have a lower chance)
Asteroid health reduced a bit to make it not eat up so much ammo
Ammo boxes will refill based on your max ammo (10% of your max) so as you increase your max you will get more from boxes.
Ammo max increased to 250 at the beginning (And you start with that much in your starting weapon).
Some optimization changes aimed at increasing performance in larger systems.
Additional changes as of 12/22/20:
Six new weapons to help balance out the ammo types.
Some other weapons have been moved to different ammo types to help balance out the ammo types.
Drastically reduced armor of ship debris to match the armor reduction of asteroids.
Fixed a bug where buttons where not clickable when you went to the pause screen and back.
Fixed a bug where cooldown reducing effects were not displaying correctly on the UI.
Fixed a bug where travel pod was not showing it's input key for activation.
